LIN Fanglu’s fibre artworks create an emotionally resonant visual field through layered tonal washes and freely unfurling red forms. Rich yet nuanced hues unfold gradually through space like roses at the height of their bloom, radiating warmth, abundance and vitality. The work awakens our sensitivity to beauty, emotion and the poetry of life, while bringing a luminous and enduring presence to everyday spaces.

LIN grounds her practice in traditional Chinese textile techniques and the heritage craft of tie-dyeing, reinterpreting these forms of handwork through the language of contemporary art. In her work, soft fibres acquire a sculptural sense of spatial tension. Their layered, undulating textures and organically evolving forms retain the warmth of the handmade while asserting a distinctly contemporary visual character.
